Why
Volunteer?
The Iowa County Historical Society has a long history of
volunteer involvement. ICHS volunteers bring a broad range
of knowledge that enhances visitors' and researchers' experiences.
If you have an interest in history and enjoy working with
the public, we invite you to join the dedicated and enthusiastic
group of people who help to bring the past into the present.
What
Can I Do?
Volunteering at the Iowa County Historical Society will
enable you to learn about history and develop new skills,
and to establish rewarding relationships with visitors and
staff. You may choose to volunteer in one or more of the
following areas:
- archiving
- data
entry
- greeting
guests
- transcribing
(transcribe the local history interviews done by the ICHS
staff)
